Geographical Information Systems
Welcome to the City of Mount Holly's GIS Department. GIS (Geographical Information Systems) is a vital part of the City of Mount Holly's Planning and Development Department. Mount Holly's GIS Department was created in the year 2000 and is one of two, city-operated GIS departments in Gaston County. Its function is to provide accurate geographical information to citizens and staff.
The GIS Department is responsible for the updating of maps such as zoning, street maps, and the city limits. We also are responsible and keeping information on these maps current and relevant to life in and around our city. We also assist in the planning and design of parks, greenways and other city projects.
We offer maps to the citizens at a minimal cost. We also try to answer any geographic question the public may have. If you have any questions or concerns regarding maps or GIS, please contact the GIS Department for the City of Mount Holly. All high resolution maps located in the "Related Documents" section of this page are provided in PDF format and require Adobe Acrobat Reader to view.
