Golf Cart Application

The Mount Holly Police Department requires golf cart registrants to complete a process for obtaining a golf cart permit. 

Process for Obtaining Golf Cart Permits:

  • Complete the golf cart permit application and submit it along with $35 permit fee and $5.00 decal fee (payable to the City of Mount Holly) to the Municipal Complex between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday - Friday. 
  • The owner of the golf cart must provide a valid driver's license and proof of insurance at the time of application. 
  • The golf cart (associated with the permit) must be brought into the Mount Holly Police Department during inspection hours. Contact Sergeant Monroe to make an appointment at (704) 822-2937 or wes.monroe@mtholly.us
  • Once your application is complete and your inspection is approved, you will be issued a permit bearing your permit number, and it will be affixed to the front of the golf cart.
